I”m so sorry. That’s the hardest thing I know. All I can offer is this: You never get over losing your dad, that sadness just somehow changes into a kind of absorption and you find new ways to be with him. Dads are ALWAYS with their daughters, even though you might not know exactly where or how.
Thanks, Vanessa. I’ve never been through anything like this before, but one thing that’s surprised me is how much it helps to know that there are lots of friends (whether from the real world or cyberspace) sending kind thoughts and good wishes.
